This ultra rare Falcon was never made available for public purchase!
Are you a collector of extremely rare instruments? Then THIS is for you.
The Gretsch G6136-KS70 was never in production or available for public purchase, and was only crafted as a 70th anniversary tribute to Kanda Shokai, one of the larger importers of US guitars into Japan. Kanda Shokai, Gretsch, and Fender (who owns Gretsch) all recieved one of these beauties.
For the rare guitar collector, this is a once in a lifetime purchase. For the player, it’s an experience like no other.
No expense was spared in the details. This guitar is equipped with black pearloid and gold TV Jones filtertrons (check out the close up). The paint is a subtle purple sparkle. It shimmers brilliantly in the right light, but isn’t overbearing or distasteful by any means. Even the f-hole bindings were done to perfection. To top it off, it has sustain and chime unlike any other guitar I’ve heard. It has been professionally set up here in AZ, and plays like a dream.
Notes on the condition:
The fretboard and frets are immaculate. It hasn’t had any real play time.
There are 2 notable scuffs. One on the back of the neck, and one on the back of the body. You’d be hard pressed to notice them in anything other than perfect lighting. The pictures should reveal the condition, but I’m happy to send more photos if requested.
There’s also minor scuffing on the “Kanda Shokai” headstock plate and knobs.
Comes with Gretsch Hard Case in excellent condition.
All guitars are professionally packaged by FedEx prior to shipping.
Please message first if purchasing locally. Reasonable offers will be considered.
