This 1993 iteration of the Double Anniversary model was produced for Gretsch’s 110th Anniversary, featuring a pair of Filter’Tron pickups, a “G” tailpiece, and a Space Control bridge.
Tonewoods include a fully hollow maple body (sound post bracing), rock maple neck, and a jet black bound rosewood fretboard, and this Gretsch weighs 7lbs 8oz. The Filter’Tron pickups offer a thick, silky tone in the neck position, while the bridge pickup has a cutting growl and focused midrange punch. This G6118 Double Anniversary has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
