Great example of an all original 1988 Japanese made Charvel Model 5 HH in gloss black!
Essentially the Charvel equivalent of a USA Jackson Student Soloist. These guitars are incredibly well made and still hold up even after 35 years. Puts any modern Jackson production model to shame. It’s a rarer iteration of the Model 5 with a simplified two knob layout and a mighty USA made Jackson J-95 bridge pickup.
Overall it’s in excellent condition, there’s a few areas of wear but nothing major or out of the ordinary for a guitar this old. Notably there’s an area of scratches near the tone knob, lots of swirling, and a larger scratch by the back tremolo cover – these are mostly hidden by the mirror like black finish and the guitar looks to be as new for the most part. Frets still have plenty of life, neck is straight and fast as can be! The guitar could benefit from a setup but overall plays and sounds absolutely incredible. The J-95 is one of Jackson‘s best pickups. Far superior to the J-80/J-80C most of these came with. Comes in a very nice gig bag and lots of bubble wrap for safe shipping.
