An extremely rare & early piece of Rickenbacker history, this Electro Spanish Model B Tenor was produced for only a brief period around the mid to late ’30s & is a definite must-have for any serious Ric collector or aficionado. Featuring a bakelite neck & body, fitted with a “horseshoe” pickup with single volume knob. Fully inspected & professionally set up ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Wonderful condition for being around 90 years old! There are various surface scratches & some finish wear on the chrome plates. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & gorgeous patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded bakelite neck & fingerboard with chrome dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but are still playable. Rickenbacher Electro badge is screwed to the front of the headstock. Waverly Pat Pend. tuners with ivoroid buttons. 1 3/8″ nut width; 22 1/2″ scale length.
Body: Hollow black bakelite body augmented with five chrome plates on top. String-thru bridge with simple metal saddle. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 11.2 oz.
Electronics: Single coil “horseshoe” pickup with one octagon-shaped volume knob.
Case: Original hardshell case included with replacement handle.
