Here for sale we have a Rickenbacker 330/6 Electric Guitar in a Fireglo finish. Made in 2020, the 330/6 features a semi-hollow Maple body, a set-in Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, classic ‘R’ tailpiece and two Rickenbacker 300 series single coil pickups.
The guitar is refreshing to play, its wide body giving something reassuring to hold onto while the double cutaway gives easy access to the entire fretboard, even up to the 24th fret. The frets are quite small, feeling great for chordal work and still allowing for bends, though perhaps not as effortlessly as on larger frets. The chunky ‘D’ shape neck is substantial in the hand but doesn’t seem to slow down quicker playing due to its smooth gloss finish.
Unplugged the 330 has a bright, clear and resonant sound thanks to its semi-hollow Maple construction, when plugged in the single coil pickups provide all of the jangle that you would expect from a Rickenbacker. They sound clear, with plenty of chime while still feeling full bodied. The 330 responds well to overdrive, feeling quite lively, yet stable, due to its centre block. This guitar would be great for someone looking for a classic reissue that offers something truly unique.
