Peavey Predator Plus HSS Gloss Transparent Red Finish Electric Guitar

$ 259.99

Used – Excellent Condition

  • Body: the body has some light scuff marks and scratches in the finish and a few small to small dings and dents can be found on the back and sides–very light buckle rash; the pickguard, tremolo cover, and the neckplate show some light scratches from normal use, plus the neckplate has a few nicks in the finish
  • Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock: the fretboard looks virtually flawless; the back of the neck has some very small indentations down the center that are virtually unnoticeable to the touch and should not affect comfort or playability; the headstock shows some small scuff marks along the front and sides at the end
  • Action and Playability: the action is about medium, plus the neck is straight and the truss rod functions flawlessly
  • Frets: light to moderate wear with some grooves just starting to form in the first three frets, however there is no fret out/buzzing at this time
  • Hardware: the tremolo arm is not original; the tuners look fantastic; the neckplate and the bridge show a few nicks in the finish and the bridge saddles have some very small scrapes along the edges
  • Electronics: all functions flawlessly
  • Includes: electric guitar and non-original tremolo arm (case/gig bag not included)

The Predator models were introduced in the mid-1980s, and the first model featured an alder body, a maple neck, a dual humbucker, and a locking tremolo design. After several years, the design was modified to three single coils pickups instead, and later to the popular single/single/humbucker variant. A major extension of the Predator series, the Predator Plus was a rather unique “fat strat” H-S-S styled after the Peavey Wolfgang model. It was equipped with a 25½” bolt-on maple neck with dual expanding truss rod bolt, a rosewood fretboard, a short 3-on-a-side headstock, Schaller locking tuners, a Powerbend III chrome tremolo bridge, and a nut width of 1-11/16″. This model came with a solid poplar body and pearloid pickguard, and this one listed here for sale has a delicious looking transparent red finish. Looking to rock the stage and not your wallet, then give this Predator Plus a try!
