This listing is for my 2017 Peavey HP2 USA NOS – purchased by my retailer from the NAMM show floor. The guitar features a beautifully figured flame maple cap in a factory Cyan Burst finish. I have not been another example of a Cyan HP2 finished this way.
The Peavey COA certifying the guitar is USA NOS (new, old stock) is included. Some of my research indicated that this body may have been finished as the Peavey Wolfgang Custom Shop was winding down their operations in the early 2000s as an explanation for the unique finish, but I have been unable to verify this. The guitar features the same hardened steel Ping/ Peavey- branded tremolo unit featured on the USA Peavey Wolfgangs. Aside some of the usual light cleaning marks, the guitar is nearly perfect. With the exception of two brief occasions when it was considered for use on two professional recording projects in my smoke-free studio, it has spent the rest of its life since 2017 of its life living in its case.
The guitar was recently re-strung/ setup with 9 gauge Ernie Ball Paradigm strings, and it was play-tested to be fully functional.
