Here’s a wonderful and nicely worn-in vintage 1974 Telecaster, a rather rare sunburst with rosewood fingerboard one.
Like 99% of old guitars in Germany, it was upgraded with the amazing Schaller M6 tuners, and it’s got a more recent nut, too. Otherwise all other parts are original. It did, at some point, apparently have another kind of bridge on (Strat-type? See pic) – weird.
Pickups and wiring look untouched, though in the middle position the sound sounds “out of phase”, but that can quickly be changed again.
Wonderfully worn in, it has the obvious wear marks, dings and scratches, but is all structurally solid. The neck was made by legendary Fender builder Herbie Gastelum, who’s necks are famous and quite sought after by collectors and pros. Just saying…
Works 100%, plays great, sounds, feels and looks like a dream!
Weights around 3,7kg – this is no boat anchor!
More/better pics coming up.
