From the brand “Vanzandt” by PGM, one of the leading domestic workshops, we are pleased to announce the arrival of JM style, ordered by us.
This time, we ordered the familiar color burgundy with the signature “Char” in mind.
The body is made of alder, the neck is a slightly narrow U-shape maple neck with good grip, and the fingerboard is made of Madagascar Rose. The fretboard R is set at a slightly gentle 210R, and the characteristic difficulty of playing JM is not felt at all.
The strings do not fall off from the bridge, which is a particular pet peeve of the JM and JG types, but Vanzandt’s solid built-in technology has done just that, maintaining just the right amount of tension so there is no problem even when picking quite powerfully.
Plugging it into an amp produces a trebly sound with a unique attack and sharpness, making it a very user-friendly instrument with its unique JM characteristics intact while improving the weak points that cause stress when playing.
In addition, the VanZandt original HORNET SW is installed in place of the preset SW, and when turned ON, the rear and front P.U. are connected in series to create a pseudo humbucking effect. The dark tone unique to the preset tends to be difficult to use and is often avoided, but this HORNET SW produces a fat and powerful sound when turned on.
The ultra-thin, all-lacquer finish makes the most of the wood’s sound, and the sound and looks will become more distinctive as the instrument is used more and more, so you can expect to see how it will grow in 5 or 10 years. This is another way to enjoy the Vanzandt, which is carefully crafted one by one by a skilled builder.
This JMV has been waiting for half a year, and the Madagascar rosewood fretboard is about to be used for the last time.
If you are looking for a long-lasting partner, how about taking this opportunity?
