Tokai is a company with a rich history. The Japanese guitar company has been around since the 50’s but really became known worldwide in the early 80’s. The guitars from the Japanese company were immensely popular at the time because of the dip in both Fender and Gibson; people started looking for alternatives from the likes of Ibanez, Yamaha and…Tokai. For years there were no imports of Tokai into Europe and the guitars were off the radar for a long time, causing the brand to fade into the background and at the same time gain cult-status with enthusiasts. The “better than original” image has stayed with many guitarists and has been passed on to the younger generations, which is why we are pleased to offer a large collection of both the affordable Chinese and the professional Japanese collection. So is this Japanese build AST95, in black with rosewood fretboard. With high-end specifications for its price like: 2-piece alder body, canadian maple neck and fretboard, full u-shape neck, gotoh tuners and Tokai’s own ST-Vintage MK3 Alnico 2 single coils.
Please note! This guitar does not include the case.
