The Paul Reed Smith Custom 22 Piezo (P22) is the PRS’s original piezo-equipped solidbody guitar, providing musicians with the versatility of having both acoustic and electric guitar tones in one instrument. PRS and LR Baggs partnered more than a decade ago to design the piezo system found in PRS’s original hollowbody models. The new system used here retains the same circuit design, maintaining tonal authenticity and real world practicality. Two output jacks on the PRS Custom 22 Piezo model allow guitarists to plug into their favorite electric guitar or acoustic guitar amp or DI into a soundboard. By utilizing the separate blend control, the tone of the magnetic pickups can also be merged with acoustic sounds through a single output.
