Momose makes the best quality domestic instruments.

A traditional style series that started in 2011. The craftsmen at the Asuka Factory are faithful to the basics and are making it with the intention of producing a high quality sound. While inheriting the basic structure and philosophy of vintage guitars, it meets the quality that professionals can use at work.

The original model “MC” inherits the traditional ST style but has been brushed up by Momose.

The craftsmen at the Asuka Factory finished each guitar by hand, from woodworking to painting and assembly. The high playability born from the careful construction is appreciated by many top players and embodies the solid quality of the Momose brand.

This is an order model created based on the MJS1. The person in charge personally went to the factory to select the burl maple top material. This is a special model that arrived about two years after the order. The irregular grain is very fantastic and unique. The color is a dark and deep blue color, which gives it a calm atmosphere. It goes well with gold parts and has a luxurious look. The body has a matte finish.

A “Series/Parallel Switch” is used where the preset ON/OFF switch is usually located. It is a so-called turbo switch. When the switch is on the bottom, the connection is parallel, and the front PU and rear PU can be switched with the selector as with a regular guitar.

When the switch is on the top, the connection is series, and the front PU and rear PU are connected in series, increasing the output.

By being able to switch the large size single coil pickup to a thick and sticky tone like a humbucker, we have achieved a sound that can be used in a wider variety of genres.

* When connected in series, the selector switch will not work, but the various knobs can be used.

Equipped with a “High-pass Filter” at the preset volume position. When the pot is fully turned, the high range is passed, but when the pot is turned down, the high range will not pass. This makes it possible to create a sound that calms down the tone that is characterized by the high range of the JM model. The preset tone position is equipped with a “Low-pass Filter”. When the pot is fully turned, the low range is passed, but when the pot is turned down, the low range is blocked.

This model comes standard with an MS-type saddle that prevents strings from falling off. Not only does it provide high tuning stability, but it also provides a deep low-mid resonance and long sustain in terms of sound.

The sound is clearer than that of a normal alder body model, as it has a top material attached. The alder body originally has a tone that is focused on the mid to low range, but the tenacious tone combined with brightness gives it a clear tone.
