Mint Collection early EG59-100!!
Greco, which had been manufacturing Gibson copy models since developing the EG-360 in 1971, released the “Super Real Series”, which had undergone further evolution in the late 1970s, as the domestic copy model market intensified.
The Super Real Series was created based on the belief that “as long as it’s a quality factory, you can change anything you like,” and all materials, woodwork, and metalwork are reviewed.
The Super Real Series that was developed in this way became popular both domestically and internationally.
In 1982, minor changes were made and the Mint Collection was introduced, making improvements that brought it even closer to the original, such as in-house made pegs that completely reproduced the Kluson tuners and changes to the neck joint.
The EG59-100 that arrived this time does not have “Super Real” written on the head logo, and the rod cover has been changed to an angular style one, which is an early Mint collction model.
The neck joint uses L.A.C (Large Area Contact Joint) joint. This is an early Mint Collection individual equipped with an initial DRY pickup with the popular [Z] stamp stamped on the PU.
Although it has a clear outline that is typical of a domestic copy model, it has a unique sound with a midrange extrusion that you can feel from the original Gibson, a sound that lets you feel the trial and error of Greco at the time!
Not only people who admired it at the time, but even younger people who own it may be surprised and say, “Oh! It is a guitar that shows the quality of being made in Japan”!
Please try this product made in 1982, which can be said to be the heyday of Greco EG!
