I bought this guitar back in 2007 and has sat in its case since then. I was always to scared to play it as I didn’t want to scratch or damage it, so it has sat in its case since then. Maybe every couple of years I open the case to look at it, this is why it must go. It should go to someone who will app and use it.
- The radical Gibson classic which made history, turned into a modern metal machine to suit the furious, aggressive and technically demanding playing of Zakk Wylde, with all the best parts and contemporary features. Crafted by the Gibson Custom Shop.
- Finish: Zakk Wylde Custom Black/White Bullseye (nitrocellulose), with black speed knobs and nickel hardware.
- Body: Solid mahogany.
- Neck: Mahogany, one-piece. Set neck construction – this enables a very good sustain, an easy access to the upper frets, and of course a full, “fat” tone.
- Scale: 24.75″.
- Fretboard: Ebony, with pearl block inlays.
- Frets: 22.
- Nut: FR locking.
- Headstock: Classic V shaped with Gibson Custom split diamond inlay as well as special serial number and symbolic Zakk Wylde picture on the back.
- Bridge: Original Floyd Rose tremolo – stays perfectly in tune.
- Pickups: EMG 81/85 active humbuckers – this classic Zakk Wylde combination is very versatile, provides lots of gain for aggressive sounds, fits well for downtuning and is absolutely quiet, due to its active design.
- Alternatively, upon request of the purchaser, we can also perform a professional installation of a different pickup combination, e.g. any DiMarzio, EMG or Seymour Duncan etc. (Very fair prices per pickup swap). Furthermore, we offer installation of active boost and EQ circuits like EMG Afterburner, PA-2, SPC, RPC, VMC, EXG etc. Please ask for details if interested.
- Electronics: 2x Volume, 2x Tone, 3-way toggle switch.
