This is a Gibson Chet Atkins Signature Country Gentleman, which was produced from 1987 to 2005.

Along with the Chet Atkins CE, the Country Gentleman is a famous Chet Atkins model with a bright flame maple top/side/back, 17″ body with thinline archtop construction, maple neck and ebony fingerboard. The body has a thinline archtop construction, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, 642mm scale/44.43mm nut, 492R & 490T PU, master vol in the horn on the 1st string side, and gold hardware finish including the Bigsby tremolo.

This model has a slightly slimmer nut width and is suitable for a wide variety of genres.

The pegs and pickguard have been replaced, and the instrument shows signs of use (elbow pad discoloration over time, paint bumps on the sides of the neck, peeling paint on the neck heel, scuffs and scratches from playing, picking marks, metal parts and screws are faded, cloudy, pitted, and other external damage).

The truss rod is adjustable for tightening and loosening, and its movement has been checked up to ±60°.
