This 2019 Gibson Les Paul 1960 Reissue is a stunner – look at that top! I love the fade on the Iced Tea Burst finish. The back has some cool character to it as well.
Being a 1960 reissue, you might expect it to have a really thin neck. The thickness almost exactly matches a 1960 reissue we sold a while back, a “V2″, which measured .0835″ thick at the first fret. The measurement on this example is .083”.
Gibson made the V2 neck profile to match one of the three neck thicknesses that were found on 1960 Les Pauls. Earlier in 1960, the necks were as thick or close to a ’59. Mid-year, they slimmed some. Later in the year they were at their thinnest. The V2 is the mid-thickness.
The guitar is ultra clean, showing very little wear on the frets – even the end of the headstock has evaded the inevitable ding. The only wear of note are two areas of finish that were affected by a previous owner’s guitar stand or hanger. There are no changes, repairs, or issues whatsoever.
Mahar’s Vintage Guitars is a brick-and-mortar and web-based retailer. We are happy to talk with you before you make a purchase. Please reach out if you feel so inclined! We cross market our items here and on our own site, so items are subject to sale elsewhere at any time (however we will never cancel a sale if it happens here first). See our profile here, our Google reviews as well as our 100% positive Reverb feedback. Also, Reverb limits us to only 25 pictures of our items. There is a good chance we have more. Contact us if you’d like to see them.
No sales tax for direct sale customers outside California. Reverb sales are always taxed.
