We are excited to offer a rare model that belongs to Gibson’s pinnacle Custom Shop series but is not part of the Historic Collection – the Les Paul Elegant! This beautiful guitar comes in a Cherry Sunburst finish, manufactured in 2000, and weighs an ideal 3.95 kg.

Like other rare models such as the “Class5,” this guitar is part of a series produced by the Custom Shop with a focus on “modern specifications.” Around the year 2000, Gibson was experimenting with various limited edition Les Paul models, including all-mahogany models and the Les Paul Classic Premium Plus Quilt, all produced by the Custom Shop.

The Les Paul Elegant features a chambered body with a high-quality flame maple top, an ebony fretboard similar to the Les Paul Custom, and stunning abalone inlays that create a gorgeous appearance.

The neck shape offers a perfect balance – neither too slim nor too thick – providing a comfortable grip.

Although the original tuning pegs are of the Grover type, they have been replaced with Kluson-style locking tuners. The original Grover pegs are also included. Notable features include covered humbucker pickups (57 Classic type with PAF stickers on the back) and the absence of a pickguard (with no holes drilled for one). This configuration is unusual, as many Classic and Standard models from this era feature vintage-style pegs and open zebra humbuckers.

The guitar comes with a hard case and the original Grover pegs (functionality unconfirmed).

The unique tonal characteristics during bends, the string separation, and tone that remain intact even with heavy distortion make for an exhilarating experience. Condition: Professionally cleaned and set up with new strings (D’Addario).

No problem with the electric systems. Neck is straight and the truss rod works with no issues. Remaining fret height is over 80 percent.

The exterior shows signs of use, including minor scratches, tarnished parts, paint chips near the jack, and a cracked jack plate.

Comes with a hard shell case.
