Hi Ara, we chose potted Custombucker’s that are slightly under-wound because we like the sonic values of those pickups. We’ve been very fortunate to have a number of real Burts in our shop in after having played those guitars for so many years we wanted to re-create a pick-up that would sound as close to them as possible which is why we chose the ones we did. As far as the neck is concerned yes, Carmelita is based upon the actual burst Carmelita. The thing about that neck that we really like is it’s got a specific kind of carve that feels very vintage and very true to the real thing!
As I mentioned, I’m one of the guys at hand pics all the words for these Les Pauls and can tell you that right now we’re in the golden age of these guitars! That team over there is doing such a great job of re-creating the closest thing to the real thing we’ve ever seen!
Invoice sent!

This is a great guitar!!!! The only reason I’m selling it is I have a neurological issue with my left (fretting) hand and haven’t been able to play in over a year.
