Since its release in 1954, the Stratocaster is a representative model of Fender that has continued to be loved by guitarists around the world. This time, we have a Stratocaster manufactured by Fender Custom Shop that reproduces the ash body/maple 1-piece neck era from the first half of 1956. It was a planned model by a domestic distributor at the time, and it can be said to be a special model with a gold anodized aluminum pickguard and gold hardware.

The overall weight is approximately 3.5 kg. The body material is ash, a beautiful Lake Placid blue color that is reminiscent of an old model, a gold anodized pickguard, gold hardware, and a relic finish that gives it a special feel. Since it was originally relic-processed, it is difficult to see the extent of the new scratches, but the weather check, scratches, and dullness of the metal parts have been reproduced, giving it a very nice atmosphere.

The neck material is 1 piece of plain maple with a section close to the straight grain. The slope from the nut to the head is steep. Like the body, it has been relic-treated, and although there is a small peeled off part of the decal logo and a dent that appears to have been newly added to the back of the neck near the 3rd fret of the 6th string, it remains in relatively good condition. The decal logo on the head is a faithful reproduction of the first version without patent. The gold-plated tuners work well without much variation in winding. Head thickness 15.2mm. Nut width 42.1mm. The relatively thick triangular neck shape is reproduced.

The controls are modern Strat style [5-way pickup selector/master volume/neck pickup tone/center & bridge (rear) pickup tone]. The pickup is a set with a reverse specification (reversely wound reverse magnetic pole) in the center, and will cancel hum when mixing neck (front) center and center bridge (rear). Based on a good live sound, the ash body has a contoured yet deep tone that is attractive, and the unique bite and rich response make it a pleasant piece.
