A rare Japanese made 1998 Epiphone Les Paul Goldtop – these were built at the Fujigen factory and only made available for the Japanese market.
Open book headstock (just like the Gibson models)
Beautiful one piece Mahogany back and Mahogany neck.
Maple top
Beautiful rosewood fretboard
12”radius
The neck is somewhere between a 60’s and a 50’s profile.
Long neck tenon (just like the reissues)
Weight: 9.6lbs.
Frets are like new
The bridge posts are hammered directly into the body (just like the reissues)
I had the pickups professionally replaced with a pair of aged white Alnico Humbucker sized P90’s.
(I don’t have the original pickups as it didn’t have them when I purchased it.)
New strings and full setup recently done by professional luthier.
There’s few dings and scratches and some battle scars on the edge of the body, as to be expected with its age, but nothing that affects playability.
The quality of these are up to par with high end Gibsons and it punches way above its weight and price.
Comes with a stunning Gibson case with plush blue interior.
