1985 Fender JV Rosewood Telecaster ’69 Vintage Reissue TL69-115 All Rose w/ Fullerton Pickups, Japan MIJ Fujigen

$ 3699.99

Up for sale, a 1985 Fender JV Rosewood Telecaster ’69 vintage reissue model TL69-115 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. One of the very last guitars from Fender Japan’s storied JV (Japanese Vintage) line, this rare, top-tier model was made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market at the Fujigen factory. Loaded with the original pair of Fender’s American Vintage black bobbin pickups, this particular Rosewood Telecaster has a few small ’50s-style features unique to this narrow production window including a one-ply pickguard, domed knurled knobs and brass barrel saddles.

The natural acoustic tone of the rosewood body/neck is lively, detailed and warm. The American Vintage pickups have black fiber bobbins, staggered alnico poles on the bridge pickup and cloth-covered leads, yielding a woody, percussive cut in the neck position and quintessential Tele twang and sparkle with the bridge pickup selected. This Rosewood Telecaster TL69-115 weighs 8lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss lacquer finish on this top-tier model highlights the dynamic grain in the rosewood body, exhibiting some cloudiness in the clear coat on the upper bout on the back in particular. Cosmetic wear is limited to some localized finish scratches on the bass side of the top, very faint buckle rash on the back, and just a couple light marks on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss.

The original Fender JV-era padded gigbag is included.
