SUMMARY: Fully restored vintage Hagstrom II Futura F-200 with “Kings Neck,” claimed to be “The world’s fastest playing neck.” Exact date of manufacture unknown without Hagstrom reference book. Setup and ready to play. Hagstrom’s answer to the Gibson SG. Includes vintage TKL hard-shell case.
CONDITION: Excellent, considering its advanced age. All original except new frets and switches. Features original decal and sticker. Only minor, superficial wear. No cracks, structural damage, substantial dings or scratches. See photos for detail.
WORK PERFORMED: Complete restoration includes: Fret replacement (Fender standard frets); new bone nut; all parts removed, cleaned, polished, overhauled and reinstalled; switches replaced (original switches included); and circuits wired to factory spec. The original frets were removed and the fretboard was radius-sanded level and smooth, exposing the rich red rosewood. New standard Fender frets were installed, leveled, crowned, dressed and mirror polished. Fretboard conditioned. Tuners disassembled, cleaned, tightened and lubed. Volume pot flushed clean. Strung with D’Addario EXL120 9-42. Guitar setup for best playability (neck relief, action, intonation, pickup height). Guitar cleaned and lightly polished. All parts/electronics tested and fully functional.
