Thanks for your interest in this rare vintage instrument.
You’re looking at an original Vox Mark XII made in Italy. Date of manufacture is between 1966 and 1968.
It was bought secondhand in 1972 by its second owner, and it was in his possession until just recently.
It’s a very good playing guitar and the neck has a nice profile and width for a 12 string not crammed and narrow like Rickenbacker tend to be.
Everything functions as it should it. This guitar has the later version tremolo, which has steel rollers that don’t have any real problems. The earlier versions had plastic rollers, which would crack and split and didn’t function that well.
Guitar has a small crack on the backside of the headstock on one side, which doesn’t go through to the front. And it also has some cracks along the fingerboard from the wood drying out although the owner says the fingerboard and the headstock issues have been there since he bought the guitar in 1972 and have not changed over time.
The neck is nice and straight and the action is great and functions as it should.
Guitar has just had a fresh set of strings put on and he ready for its next owner.
Unfortunately the original case was already gone back in 1972 when the gentleman bought it.
