The Sting Ray guitar is based on the StingRay II guitar developed by Leo Fender in the late 1970s, and has been updated to fit the modern music scene. The machine head arrangement, which was 6 in-line at the time, has been arranged into a 4:2 headstock that symbolizes Music Man guitars. The neck is made of carefully selected maple. In addition, while the neck joint at the time was 3 bolt-on, this StingRay Guitar is joined with a more reliable 5 bolt. The frets are made of stainless steel, which is less prone to wear, and the fingerboard is made of maple. The body material is African mahogany, and it is equipped with a 3-way toggle switch with 2 humbucking pickups. Equipped with Schaller M6-IND locking tuners and a covered modern tremolo with vintage bent steel saddles, this guitar combines vintage looks with modern technology, allowing for tremolo play with high tuning defense.

The pickups have been replaced with SEYMOUR DUNCAN Sentient / PEGASUS, and the guitar has been modified to support higher gain sounds than the normal specifications.
