The Kramer 84 HH is a modern take on the legendary Kramer 84. While it has expanded features, we’ve kept all of the in-your-face Kramer attitude of the original intact. The Kramer 84 HH is equipped with an alder body with top and belly contours for comfort. The body has a Floyd Rose® 1000 Series tremolo coupled with an R2 locking nut for dive bombs and deep pitch bends without worry of going out of tune. The neck is a thermally aged bolt-on hard maple neck with a walnut skunk stripe on the back and a hard maple fretboard that has 22 jumbo frets and black dot position markers. The neck has a Kramer SlimTaper™ C profile that is thin and fast-playing, making it perfect for shredding. The fretboard features a compound radius that is 10” at the nut and flattens out to 14” at the other end, making first-position chords easy and comfortable to play while allowing for heavy string bends further up the neck without the notes fretting out. The dual-action truss rod is adjusted with a spoke wheel-style truss rod adjustment nut, which is positioned at the end of the fretboard for easy access. The body’s satin finish color is duplicated on the front and back of the 84 non-angled big banana headstock. It has a classic Kramer logo, die-cast tuning machines, a nickel string retaining bar, and a wrench holder for the Floyd Rose on the rear, so you’ll always have the tools on hand for a quick string change or adjustment.
The updated electronics feature a pair of Kramer USA Eruption pickups that were designed by Gibson Master Luthier Jim DeCola. They forgo the use of mounting rings and are screwed directly into the body for enhanced sustain. A 3-way toggle pickup selector switch lets you use either pickup by itself or run them together, and two mini toggle switches (one for each pickup) are provided for coil splitting, giving you both humbucker™ and single coil tones that you can combine at will. A single master volume control with a retro-style black knurled knob controls the output level of both pickups simultaneously, making volume adjustments quick and simple. A Kramer premium gig bag is provided with the Kramer 84 HH to keep this instrument of sonic mayhem safe when you’re traveling to your next gig.
