I’m the second owner of this really great playing Jackson X series Soloist… I wanted the Hanneman vibe when it came my way and it delivers in spades! It came to me with a few cosmetic flaws, all minor I have happily not added more of these cosmetic features myself.
After the upgrades, this guitar (set up with Jackson Soloist 9’s) is now my most stable-tuned guitar of my entire collection. First, I’ll list the Upgrades, and then the cosmetic issues (they should be evident in the pictures). Any questions, ask away. This guitar has been one of the most satisfying players I own. Sustain is unbelievable, the pickups are hot and gnarly if you want, or really rich and clear cleans. If you know you want one, and you want one with some of the key hardware upgrades done for you at a price less than new, and don’t mind the minor cosmetics, this is Jackson Soloist X series for you!
Upgrades:
- Stainless Bridge Components
- New Black Steel Posts
- Locking Tuners
- Original Floyd Rose Whammy Bar
- FU Tone brass Trem block
- “Red” noiseless Trem springs
Cosmetics:
The condition described by Reverb as “Very Good” fits very well. All the frets are polished and the action feels perfect! I did my best to include the flaws in as many pictures as possible, and I will take more detailed images if you wish.
- The body finish is raised at places just south of the pickup rings
- Buckle Scratch in the belly cutout on the body back
- Minor finish wear on the back
- The back plates over the tone control fit too tightly, causing minute warping of the surface of the plate when fully screwed in
