From Jackson:
When rising star Randy Rhoads requested Jackson create a guitar capable of handling his incredibly versatile style, little did he know that a lineage of nearly four decades of expert craftsmanship and innovation would follow. The spirit of Randy lives on in the Jackson Pro Series Rhoads RR24 electric guitar, constructed with screaming Seymour Duncan JB and ’59 humbuckers, an endlessly playable glossy maple neck, and a silky-smooth ebony fingerboard. The Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo is more than capable of twists, bends, and dives without compromising your tuning. Now synonymous with Rhoads himself is the RR24’s legendary sharp “V” shape, a universal symbol of quality and hard-rocking character.
Classic combo of JB and ’59 humbuckers
It takes more than the iconic “V” shape for a guitar to be worthy of the name “Rhoads.” To nail that unmistakable tone, the Rhoads RR24 sports a set of fire-breathing Seymour Duncan pickups brimming with in-your-face aggression and clarity. One riff on the JB bridge pickup is all it takes for you to understand why guitarists everywhere swear by its tone, which is thick and gritty with a punchy midrange guaranteed to cut through any mix. Sweetwater guitarists love the classic combination of a JB with a ’59 in the neck, a vintage-voiced humbucker boasting the smooth, sweet sound of a PAF pickup.
Compound-radius fretboard provides the best of both worlds
The Jackson Pro Series Rhoads RR24 sports a compound-radius ebony fingerboard with jumbo frets. Down low, your fretting hand will appreciate the 12-inch radius that keeps things comfortable for natural, relaxed chord work. Up top, a 16-inch radius lays it all out flat for low-action, high-speed runs with monumental string bends without fretting out — providing you with the best of both worlds.
Maple neck and Floyd Rose tremolo offer prodigious sustain
From bow to stern, the Jackson Pro Series Rhoads RR24 is set up for mammoth sustain. A through-body maple neck offers proven sustain enhancement with extra snappiness and easy access to the upper register. The addition of a Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo adds even greater sustain to this tone monster, built to handle wild, expressive whammy playing while keeping your tuning rock solid.
