Jackson Pro Series DK7M Metallic Black 2014 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Jackson DK7M 7-String Electric Guitar in Metallic Black finish. Made in Mexico in 2014, this bolt-on neck constructed guitar features an Alder body, a 3-piece Maple neck, and a 24-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a Floyd Rose Special 7-String Double Locking Recessed Tremolo, Jackson Pointed Reverse 7-In-Line headstock, a Floyd Rose Locking nut, and a set of Direct Mount Seymour Duncan SH6-7 Distortion Humbucking pickups. The pickups are wired to master volume, master tone, and a 5-way pickup selector.

The hand-rubbed oil finish neck plays well, feeling smooth and easy in the hand, with a fairly thin and flat profile, paired with the 12″ to 16″ radius, offers ergonomic thumb positioning, great for more technically demanding playing styles. Dual bevelled cutaways offer unobstructed access to the upper register and the jumbo fret wire feels absolutely rock solid under the fingers.

The Direct Mount Seymour Duncan SH6-7 Distortion Humbuckers humbuckers sound thick and hot, with a deep low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with biting aggressive highs, pairing perfectly with a driven amp. Master controls keep things feeling nice and intuitive, making for a really unified feeling instrument with a real workhorse quality.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: 

Overall excellent condition, the top edge and bass side of the headstock demonstrate very light scuffing, difficult to discern against the natural grain. 

Neck: 

Overall very good condition, the early register of the fingerboard demonstrates light finish wear through regular use. 

Body: 

Overall very good condition, the bottom edge of the instrument demonstrates a chip to the finish revealing the wood beneath, Further light indentation is apparent along the edge. The corners of the neck pocket demonstrate finish cracking, typical with bolt on necks and not affecting structure. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. 

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (spoke wheel) included. 

Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of wear, most notably oxidation to the bridge. 

Structural: No concerns or issues to note. 

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm – Bass 2mm
