Ibanez Prestige RGR5220M Transparent Fluorescent Green 2019
Ibanez Prestige RGR5220M, very green indeed, made in Japan 2019. That birdseye board! That kermit green finish! What fun it is to be a guitar player. This slick smooth shredstick is a Prestige, so that means the build quality, wood selection and hardware are all working together to bring you a very fast, very responsive, very reliable playing experience. The neck is outrageously good: tall stainless frets, luminous side inlays, speed-friendly skinny D shape, rigid as your uncle’s politics. The Bareknuckle pickups are pretty angry: heaps of midrange kick, plenty of output, growly and snarly through the top end. There’s a split switch between the knobs to unlock some single-coil-esque tones, helpful for the clean sections before the breakdowns. It can’t all be breakdowns, right? You need something to break down from. This unearthly slime green hue is discontinued these days, so this is your chance at glory. RG=really green.
