Up for sale is an amazing 2024 Steve Vai Signature Pia guitar with the super cool Blue Powder finish. Really nice guitar, but unfortunately I need to sell it to cover expenses for an upcoming family vacation (that keeps getting more expensive….). This is a great opportunity to get an extremely clean Pia at a significant savings.
Tone wise, this guitar really shines with high gain. I have been very impressed with the Utopia pickups, especially with how much sustain they produce. Notes last a LONG time for bolt-on construction guitar, and I think it is especially good for those searing lead tones. Clean tones sound good as well with the 5 way switch/in-between positions. Can cover a lot of ground with this one!
Quality control wise, this guitar is built to a very high standard. The stainless steel fretwork is outstanding, the satin neck feels amazingly smooth to the touch, the inlay work is as perfect as could be hoped for, and the action is impressively low without major buzzing. The Fujigen Ibanez team has really stepped up their game with this model in my opinion.
I am the second owner of this guitar, and bought from the original owner just a few weeks back. Between both owners, this guitar has been played less than 5 hours total since purchased new. The guitar is in outstanding condition. No dings, dents, cracks, or any structural damage. Neck pocket is tight with no issues. The pickguard still has the plastic on! There may be some very light scratching on the finish surface, but if there is I cannot even see it nor can it be pictured. Anything else you may see in pictures is just light dust or reflections (this is a tough one to photograph). Basically no fret wear. Case is in fantastic shape. Smoke free ownership throughout.
The guitar is currently loaded with 9 gauge strings, set up in E standard. Backplate of guitar is of course included – pictured with it off so you can clearly see the trem cavity. The ENGL hardtailer device was professionally installed by the original dealer when guitar was purchased new, and seems to work as advertised. The guitar stays in tune well and the action is fairly low, but high enough to encourage strings to ring out. If you like a different set up, please be prepared to adjust it when you receive the guitar.
