The ORM1 is a solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2008. It is a signature guitar model of Omar Rodríguez-López, guitarist for the American rock band The Mars Volta. The ORM1 is based on the second Jet King body style. It has a mahogany body bolted to a 24″ scale laminated mahogany neck with a classic Ibanez ‘tulip’ headstock and a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block position markers. Components include a single-coil sized humbucker specially designed for this model and in the bridge position, a Tune-o-matic style Gibraltar III bridge with through-body string routing, and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
