Ibanez Jem777/RG550 1990 – Loch Ness Green

$ 2850.00

1990 was a real transitional period for Hoshino and Ibanez especially for the RG model line and the Steve Vai Jem series model. SN# F031765

This guitar is a one out of one prototype from my understanding this guitar was built by an Ibanez employee urban legend has it at the time. He wanted a Steve Vail Jem777 meets a RG 550 and this was the result of the build. The serial number of this guitar is a direct serial number of a “Jem777 Steve Vai model guitar, but with a super rare RG550 Jem Wizard slim line maple neck.

This guitar is a super rare bird and a prototype to boot. The Loch Ness green finish and the ink stamp Jem777 in the neck pocket proves that this guitar was a Ibanez/Hoshino build. The prominence that surrounds this guitar is a mystery but you cannot deny it’s rarity. You will probably never see another one of these again in your lifetime

Equipped with The Best of the Best that Ibanez has to offer the pickups are in my opinion one of the best sounding pickups from Ibanez it includes; V7,S1 and V8. It has the Ibanez Edge locking Bridge all original to this Jem777/ RG550.

Nothing was compromised in the conversion to lefty not even the intonation was changed but it tunes to perfect pitch. That’s the superb craftsmanship of this instrument. When you pick this guitar up you may never want to put it down it’s that phenomenal and one of a kind.

This is not a pristine guitar by any means. It’s aged well and has a lot of wear and tear but you will not find a more rare guitar than this one. Reasonably priced to move I hate to see this one go my loss your gain. This would make a great addition to anybody’s guitar arsenal and a conversation piece.

It will be packed securely and an Ibanez time period correct gig bag. If I were you I would get an Ibanez hard shell case immediately. Please email me with any questions you may have.

I will entertain any reasonable offers.
