Ibanez GB30-BK George Benson Signature 1986 – Black

$ 1799.00

Here we have a cool Ibanez GB30 George Benson model in black! This guitar was built in 1986 and is in very good overall condition.

Specs include a semi-hollow maple body, mahogany neck, and ebony fretboard. The pickups have been changed to a set of Golden Age PAF clones and the tuners have been changed to Sperzel locking. It has a 24 3/4″ scale length and a 1 11/16″ nut width.

The guitar shows light signs of playing over its surface. The guard is well-worn with plenty of pick marks and the metal parts show some age. The body shows light surface scratches and swirl marks, along with a number of light dings. The frets show the faintest hint of wear down low but play just fine. That said there are no major dents or paint chips, just simple, honest player wear.

The guitar weighs 8lbs 3oz. The neck measures .830 to .940 at the 1st and 10th. It has a modern C shaped neck that is comfortable. The guitar is slinky and plays effortlessly. It has a warm and mellow resonance from the body chamber, but still has nice single note definition and treble clarity. It’s a fun guitar to play and would compete with any modern small body semi-hollow.

Ships in the original hardshell case.
