Here for sale we have an Ibanez BL100 in Burgundy finish. Built in Japan in 1995 as a limited edition model intended to have similar stylings to the Fender Stratocaster. This guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Basswood body, Maple neck and 21 fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include aftermarket Gotoh tuning machines and ST30 non-locking synchronized tremolo bridge. This guitar features two Ibanez BL-S single coils in the neck and middle positions and an Ibanez BL-H humbucker in the bridge. These are wired to a master volume, master tone and 5-way pickup selector.
The Satin Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘D’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promotes ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Satin Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface. The 16″ radius delivers practicality for lead lines and string bending. The smooth lines of the body along with generous body contours are as comfortable, ensuring that long gigs and practice sessions are a breeze.
The HSS pickup configuration adds the grunt and power associated with a humbucking pickup. Certainly, the BL-H in the bridge position delivers plenty of power for those distorted rhythm parts and heavy riffs. The pair of BL-S single-coils in the neck and middle positions deliver crisp and clear tones which capture the spank and attack of your playing for accurate funky clean tones whilst remaining nicely balanced with the humbucker thanks to being wound so hot.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face displays an uneven ‘Gloss’ finish where a previous owner has attempted to finish the headstock. The rear of the headstock displays screw holes where the original tuning machines were placed. A square light patch of wood is present where a sticker was placed. The tip of the headstock displays scratching and scuff marks.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The fingerboard displays discoloration across the register, his is common with Maple fingerboards and regular use. Marking is present across the fingerboard, which can not be felt under the finger in playing position. Light denting is present to the rear of the neck, these are most noticeable behind the 12th and 13th frets and the 4th fret, these can be felt in the playing position.
Body: Overall good condition. Light to moderate scratching and denting is present to all surfaces of the body, this is most noticeable to the lower bout side edge bass side. Denting has cracked the finish across the body. A crack to the finish is present to the bass side of the neck pocket, this has been tested and does not flex under pressure causing no structural concern.
