Selling my second Ibanez 2383 but in the Mahagony finsh.
It is a pre-lawsuit model from the early 70´s. I part ways with it as I am reducing my vintage Ibanez collection, which has grown just to much over the years.
I bouht this after being amazed by another Ibanez 2383 in the color white which I came across before and decided to have one in each colour. I am also offering this on Reverb.
This 2383 in mahagony comes with the original:
It has some dents and minor scratches in the finish as depicted. Most notably the dents and hairline mark on the right and left cutaway. The latter can hardly be captured by the camera due to its minimal visibilty. Some dents on both sides of the body and bottom. A horiziontal superficial but light scratch on the back as well as a dent on the end of the headstock.
For a japanese made guitar which is half a century old the guitar is in very good condition.
It is fully functioning. No crackling electronics and the mechanics work fine. The frets are used but all notes ring out.
If you are interested in the white version of the 2383, I also have to let this go. Just look into my Reverb listing.
The sticker on the back was put on, as it was usual in the 70s in Germany, by the retailer. I like to leave them on as a authentic documentation of its origin.
I hope this gets in the hand of a collector. I will assure that the guitar will be properly prepared for shipping.
