Gretsch Streamliner “Malcolm Young” Peso Hollowbody (2010s – Torino Green)

$ 375.00

One-of-a-kind!

Here for sale is a project I finished out for a customer of mine, and he has decided to trade it in on chasing other guitars. He brought it in as just a husk, and wanted a Malcolm Young style build. The husk had the bad neck repair, well, I mean it is structurally sound, just looks bad. (I don’t think I need to say this, but, not my handy work.) Additionally, whatever they used to fix the neck has frozen the truss rod in place. Good news is that it is also cementing the neck in place, so it does not seem to be changing with the seasons. The neck is locked in with a little bit of relief, so it is still pretty easy playing. It is about the perfect setup for slide.

The gold pickup is Epiphone USA, Guyker tuners, Gibson bridge & tailpiece. I used Mexican pesos from my coin collection to cover the old holes, and it also has a momentary killswitch. I matched the hardware to the pesos, using both silver and gold accents. This guitar has had a life, but it still has a lot to give and a story to tell.

As always, we cleaned it up, polished the finish, flushed the electronics, changed the strings and set the action low and smooth. This guitar has no case or gig bag, but I pack my guitars up tight and insure every package for the full purchase amount.

Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gearheads!
