Up for sale is a Gretsch G6136-55 Vintage Select White Falcon. The ok card shows it was Feb 2019. I don’t know what else to say about this guitar other than it’s downright awesome. It is at the very pinnacle for me in terms of guitars to own. I hate to sell it but I must. This guitar would be considered MINT like new with the exception of one mark that is captured in the three pictures showing near the tailpiece. I can take more if you need them. It is very hard to see/ find unless you move the guitar around.
Long story short- I bought this from an unscrupulous individual who, along with other issues, did not disclose it to me.
The guitar plays unbelievably amazing and because the mark is hard to find or see- being blocked by the tailpiece mostly- I kept the guitar and didn’t sweat it. It just plays and sounds to amazing for me to care enough about the mark.
Regardless- I’m disclosing it- so that it’s very clear up front. I have no idea what did it since I got it this way. it doesn’t effect the tone and in no way is anything but a battle scar.
So let’s start with the details that make it unbelievable. It all starts with a pair of TV Jones® T-Armond single-coil pickups. you want twangy……. KaBoom.
The White Falcon drips with sophisticated class, sporting shining gold hardware – including the iconic Cadillac “G” tailpiece and gold jeweled arrow knobs – gold sparkle bound neck, body and F-holes, gleaming vintage white gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish and gold, vintage thick plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo.
It has a 2.75″-deep body. The 12″-radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and elegant mother-of-pearl Hump Block and feather inlays tops a maple neck with a comfortably familiar standard “U”-shaped profile.
Now for the fine print- I don’t ship guitars anymore and will only do in person sales. I live in Central Pennsylvania and can drive to meet you somewhere in the middle to do the sale. USA only. Thanks
