Gretsch G6114 New Jet in Wine Dark Inferno Finish with HS Case – Made in Japan

This beautiful guitar was made during what is usally referred to as the Revival Era from 1989 – 2002 when Fred W. Gretsch (great grandson of the founder) bought back the company and had all the production done in Japan’s Terada plant, mostly re-creating classic models.

This one was made in 2001 and carries the serial number 0112114-502 inside the body cavity. It weighs in at 7 pounds, 11.4 ounces.

This guitar is in amazing condition and looks almost unplayed. It still has the plastic on the pickguard and the cable and the truss rod wrench are still in the plastic bags in the hardshell case.

A marriage of the unthinkable: Gretsch’s sensibility and exquisite craftsmanship with Gibson’s Les Paul. This sweet Gretsch guitar was a very limited run and is rarely sold by its owners. It was meant to emulate and rival the celebrated Les Paul while retaining Gretsch’s essence.

Sustain for days. Pure otherworldly tones. Piercing, biting, jagged edges or smooth as butter and pure as the driven snow, from 50’s, 60’s and 70’s rock to 90’s grunge to today’s vast array of tonal assortments. This is a guitarist’s guitar and will hang with earth’s greatest axes.

This baby is ready to rumble. Comes with Gretsch/TKL hardshell. Awesome.
