Gretsch Country Classic II Custom Edition – The “George Harrison” Model.
Serial number shows a build start date of December 2004 and left the factory April 2005. How do I know? I’m the original owner and still have all the documentation that came with the guitar (see pix).
Never played out. Occasionally played at home but has mostly spent it’s time in its case. Was always my dream guitar and never dared take it out of the house! Has some light plating wear (tried to show them in photos) Was going to try and clean the vibrato arm and tailpiece but not sure what to use and didn’t want to remove more of the gold plating. As close to perfect as you’ll find. New strings but may need a setup – I have no experience trying to setup an adjustable bridge!
I bought this new from E.M. Shorts Instruments in Wichita; at the time they were (and still are) an importer for Gretsch. Here’s the details from Gretsch:

Gretsch Country Gentleman 2004 G6122SP 1962 Walnut
A true classic! The Gretsch Country Gentleman (branded “Country Classic II” during this period) 1962 Model shows off many deluxe features. Gold plated hardware and Bigsby Vibrato, ebony fretboard, Neo-Classical inlay, multi-ply bindings, deluxe Grover Imperial high ratio tuning machines, TV Jones Filtertron pickups, maple double cutaway body and neck, and a beautiful walnut stain. With a fully hollow body, this model features “painted on” F-holes which combat feedback. A true Cadillac of a guitar.
This model has been favored by Chet Atkins, George Harrison, Elvis Presley, David Crosby, and many more.
I put a new vinyl back on it. Still stretching a bit so letting it stretch out before I attach one last button.
