Gretsch 6125 Anniversary c. 1959 – Smoke Green

$ 2395.00

This is a vintage 1959 Gretsch 6125 anniverary hollow body with a two-tone Smoke Green finish. These guitars were introduced in 1958 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Gretsch. It was shortly after realized that they were actually pretty awesome, and production continued until 1968 with a few changes in parts and design between ’58 and ’61.

This “Golden Years” Gretsch is features a single HiLo Tron pickup, a roller bridge, tone selector (bright/dark), and master volume control. Its tuners were long ago changed to Grovers, and “Thumbnail” inlays mark the fretboard on an exceptionally comfortable neck. It has been freshly refretted and plays incredibly well. It has a gorgeous, glowing tone and is in really great cosmetic condition with gentle wear here and there and some light finish checking on its top near its F-holes. This is a good one!

It has been professionally setup and comes with its original hardshell case.
