Here’s a ’99 “57” Gretsch Duo Jet with T-Armonds in very good condition with some dings, scratches and marks that come from a 25 year old guitar that has been played. I replaced the original Dynasonics with TV Jones T-Armonds when I first bought it a few years ago and they were a definite improvement on the sound over the original Dynasonics, as they sound more even and balanced than the originals. Now it plays AND sounds great! I no longer have the original pickups.
It has hump block fret inlays, which are like the George Harrison Signature Duo Jet rather than the thumbnail inlays of most later re-issues, and a V-cut Bigsby just like the GH Signature, for thousands of dollars less! It also has the knurled screw on strap buttons which always seemed more secure than the standard ones Gretsch is now using. It currently has a standard ABR saddle, but also has the original Space Control saddle for those that like that kind of thing.
It will ship in it’s original Gretsch-branded case, which is gray with silver lining…also kinda unique in my experience.
