Likely best known for its regular use by George Harrison throughout the Beatles’ career, the Tennessean features a thinline all maple body, with simulated F-holes and the original pair of Hilo’Tron pickups. Hilo’Trons are essentially a single coil version of the Filter’Tron, known for their shimmering highs, mellow lows, and lively response. The instrument has a bold acoustic voice that’s both smooth and present, and these pickups compliment the guitar’s acoustic properties, with incredible clarity and top end chime. Produced in the Pre-Baldwin era of manufacturing when production totals were smaller and quality generally higher, this Tennessean is featherweight at 6lbs 13oz.
