We have just received a Gibson SG Special that is believed to be made in 1969 based on the serial number!
This is a very cool one with faded Cherry on the large guard and short vibe roller!
Mahogany body, narrow 68 spec 1 piece mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard.
Two P-90s, which are thought to be original, are mounted on the PU.
The sound can be handled from warm and angular vintage sound to crisp and clear sound, and it is easy to handle regardless of the place.
Only front tone pots are dated 68.
The rest of the pots are the same in color and shape, so we judge them to be original.
The wiring has been redone.
The entire body has been over-lacquered, and there are cracks around the jack and on the lower cutaway.
In addition, the pegs, nut, frets, toggle switch knob, pickguard, and back panel mounting screws have been replaced, and the toggle switch ring is missing.
The PU cover may have been replaced as well, and there are slight signs that the pickguard has been extended.
There are also weather checks, dings, scratches, and other signs of use commensurate with the age of the instrument.
There are many repairs and replacements, but the frets and nut have been replaced, so it is in good playing condition and is sure to be an immediate asset to your collection!
If you are looking for a usable Vintage guitar, please consider this as a good opportunity!
