The 2012 spec Les Paul Traditional is now in stock. While the Les Paul Standard series has evolved over the years in pursuit of user-friendly features and specs, the Traditional series, as the name implies, continues the “tradition” of Les Paul models. The Traditional Series features green-keyed Kluson pegs, an easy-to-grip 50s round neck, and traditional weight relief that controls the weight and gives the guitar a fuller sound.
The pickups are 57Classic/57Classic Plus, which are based on the PAF sound, and the bridge is a Nashville Tune-O-Matic, as used on recent Les Pauls.
Although not as versatile as the recent Les Paul Standard, you can enjoy the solid core sound that is typical of Les Paul.
The overall topcoat is tan, the neck behind the 11th fret has a paint reaction that appears to be rubber burn from a guitar stand, and the body has large weather checks throughout. There are some minor scratches and dings, but all parts have been maintained and cleaned to ensure playability.
