Semi-hollowbody enthusiasts of the Wildwoodiverse, we have a delectable treat for you! The Wildwood team is proud to introduce the ES-335 Figured from our friends at Gibson. These Electric Spanish sweethearts are stellar examples of the soulful guitars coming out of their Nashville facility these days! As their name implies, they have gorgeous AAA figured maple tops, but the wood on the inside is what gives them supercharged tone! Thermally engineered Adirondack spruce bracing gives these guitars an articulate, percussive attack and oodles of headroom. So, they maintain superb clarity at all times.
Meanwhile, a thermally engineered maple center block adds a bit of vintage woodiness and clarity to the sustain. Add in a pair of calibrated T-Type humbuckers, and you’ve got quite a sonic cocktail! And they feel great in your hands, too, thanks to their inviting rounded C-shaped neck profile.
Gibson also outfitted these electrifying ES-335 with a variety of finishes that highlight the beauty of their figured maple tops. A few fine details like Grover keystone deluxe tuners, black top-hat knobs with silver reflector and acrylic small block inlays complete the aesthetic. So, these ES-335s are as easy on the eyes as they are on the ears!
We are proud to showcase instruments of such exceptional quality and beauty, and we know they will bring you endless hours of inspiration.
Condition Report: This gently-used ES-335 is in fabulous condition with just a ONE small cosmetic imperfection and some extremely light playwear. The plastic is still on the pickguard! There’s a miniscule area area of delamination on the treble side of the peghead (as pictured). Take a peak at the pictures snapped in the Wildwood Lair and see for yourself;) Our technicians have given it a clean bill of health and it’s ready to be an uber-mean sonic machine! And, it comes with its original hardshell case (light wear and tear due to case storage) and paperwork. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop us a line or give the store a call about this monster Gibson!

***What does “Left of the Dial” mean, you ask? Most importantly, it’s a fantastic track by The Replacements, the greatest band of all time! Here, we use the phrase to refer to items that don’t fit the traditional mold of what we showcase on our website: used items, oddities, guitars from deep in the Wildwood vault, and some plain good ‘ol fashioned deals. Think of Left of the Dial as a place where you can find punk rock items in a rock and roll retail world. We do it for fun and to give our amazing customers another chance to snag some sweet gear at a fraction of the full price. Keep us posted if you have any further questions, or if you’re on the lookout for anything in particular.***
