Gibson Les Paul Supreme (GOTW) | 2007 | Autumn Burst

$ 2700.00

For your rockin’ pleasure, we present this 2007 Gibson Les Paul Supreme in Autumn Burst. It was Gibson’s ‘Guitar of the Week’ #9 edition from a limited run of just 400 units. It has a few dings, nicks, and light scratches, which we did our best to picture, and there are a couple of small lacquer chips on the back (see pics). What you’ll want to know out of the gates is that it’s had a headstock repair. WAIT, DON’T CLICK OUT YET! Check the pictures because the break was a long time ago, and the luthier who repaired it… Well, let’s just say it’s hands-down the best headstock repair we’ve ever seen or felt. And the guitar has had plenty of time to ‘settle’ into its repair. The guitar is in perfect working order, the neck is stable and smooth, and there are no issues persisting as a result of the break. To the naked eye, you have to really look to notice the repair. It was difficult to capture with a camera because the repair was so excellent. We’d have it listed in excellent condition were it not for the headstock repair. Even with, it’s in very, very good condition. And for the price? Somebody is about to make out like a bandit.

With that out of the way, Gibson recently reissued the Les Paul Supremes, but the O.G.s are way better. This one comes with all of the high-end appointments, including its AAA 3D flamed maple top and back. It looks so good, it’s almost holographic. This baby lives up to its ‘Supreme’ moniker. A bound ebony fingerboard with gold frets (frets are in great shape) and no inlays in the frets (you can see them from your playing position, don’t worry, so you’re never lost). The front and back feature multi-ply binding, as does the headstock, which features a pearloid ‘Supreme’ banner and a real abalone globe. Absolutely stunning. Loaded with Gibson 490R & 498T humbuckers, it sounds like a fire-breathing dragon. The pickups are perfect. We just had it set up by the best luthier in SLC. It ships with a Gator hardcase.
