Gibson Les Paul Standard ’60s 2019 Iced Tea

$ 2400.00

Up for grabs is this beautiful Les Paul Standard 60s in Iced Tea Burst.

This is a bone-stock Les Paul Standard 60s. It has been played, but not abused. The top has a single finish chip near the bridge. The back has some buckle rash, but only one ding that extends through the finish and dimples the wood. The iced tea burst is rich and beautiful. The top has some light flame, but it’s almost a plain top. The rosewood fretboard is nice and dark. The frets do not have much wear at all.

The serial number dates this specimen to September 6th, 2019. The pickups are dated September 16th, 2019. This is a beautiful example of what Gibson USA can do when the survival of the company is at stake. These 2019 guitars were a return to top form after Gibson declared bankruptcy in 2018.

This Les Paul weighs in at 8 pounds, 15 ounces on my postal scale. That is over a pound lighter than my Les Paul Standard 50s. It’s what initially drew me to this guitar, but I find that I prefer the beefier neck profile of the 50s model. I am an outlier, though, as these 60s neck profiles are much more popular.
