This Gibson ES-335 CRR (Country Rock Regular) is one of 300 made from 1979 into 1980. Gibson also made the Country Rock Stereo ES-335 during this period – another 300 piece release.
The guitars feature Shaw “Dirty Fingers” humbuckers – hot ones! The goal was to offer a guitar suited to country rock – think Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers, etc.
The guitar is a player and a looker. It is flexible as well, offering stock coil tapping on the treble side horn. Otherwise, the controls are as you’d expect from a 335.
We were able to set the guitar up perfectly, with low, comfortable action and there is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments.
The guitar is all original with no changes, repairs or issues. The frets are low, but that’s how they are on these models, as I recall from the last Country Rock Stereo that showed up here.

There are two shipping cost options for purchases made on our site for these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas. Select Standard shipping at checkout and your item will be shipped via UPS three-day-air. Select Economy shipping and your item will ship via UPS ground. For Reverb purchases, there is one cost option for these Eastern states and shipment will be made by UPS three-day-air. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions. If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to . Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
