Note: See short video in gallery showing how I pack a guitar.
This is a 2011 Gibson Les Paul Tribute goldtop w/ rare P90s. Weight only 7lbs, 9oz—Super light!
Condition
Cosmetically, the guitar looks amazing. It’s got some very nice edge wear for that relic look and even better some of the wear around the armrest and horn are just starting to show a little greening—a very rare look, which will progress as time goes on! Frets are in very good condition with only mild wear. All stock, no mods.
Features
— Mahogany body & neck, rosewood board
— Legendary 60s SlimTaper neck profile
— Creme covered soapbar p90 pickups
Sound & Playability
These 60s Tributes with p90s are hard to find! The guitar has the well-known 60s SlimTaper neck profile and a thin nitro finish that won’t choke your tone. It plays great all over the neck with no dead spots or fret issues. All electronics work perfectly.
Some other nice details: large neck inlays, and aged plastics with gold knobs. Gibson made most Tributes with humbuckers—so the P90s are a rare treat! NO case. I do a full setup and expert packing: details below. Thanks! (PS: I ship to most countries in Europe (not France), Asia, and Oceania–contact for quote!)
Guitar Setup
Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, clean and oil fingerboard. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. We do a basic setup since setup is highly subjective you may want to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier anyway. Thanks!
Packing
Search “How to Pack a Guitar Hot Girls” on YouTube for a video showing how I pack. I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have been doing this 15 years and know how to pack well–with or without a hard case. You can also read my packing blog post on my StillKickinMusic website. If you Google “Still Kickin – How to Pack a Guitar” you will find it. Thanks.

Two P-90 pickups for vintage tone
The P-90 pickup produces a clean, bell-like tone that gets crunchy when you really lean into it. You’ll love the punchy midrange and solid low end that sets P-90s apart from typical single-coil pickups. Many of the Beatles’ biggest hits were recorded using P-90 equipped guitars. But the coolest thing about the P-90 pickup is that once you roll off the highs, you can still get the smoky tones we normally associate with humbuckers.
Gibson opted to omit frivolities such as a bound neck and body. The Les Paul Special ’60s Tribute really is more than the sum of its parts: old-school pickups, premium electrical components, minimalist finishing touches, and worn-in feel all merge to make the Les Paul Special ’60s Tribute a great guitar any Les Paul enthusiast would love.
Plek’d for precision playability This Gibson Les Paul Studio ’60s Tribute 2016 T feels fast and precise, thanks in large part to Plek processing. Typically reserved for top-dollar custom guitars, this process levels the frets with pinpoint precision, providing you with the most playable fretboard you’re likely to own. Each note rings loud and clear, and the fret edges feel smooth as silk.

About Me
My store is a one-person small business that has been selling used guitars and basses for 15 years now. I do a basic setup and cleaning on every instrument I sell, so depending on workload it may be 1-2 business days before your guitar ships. When it arrives you can depend on it being, clean, set up, and securely packed. Check my feedback for confirmation. Thanks!
