2013 Gibson Les Paul Studio

For sale: a 2013 Gibson Les Paul Studio, modified and ready to play.

Condition:
This guitar has been upgraded from its original hardware. It features a Schaller roller bridge, Kluson locking tuners, a TUSQ replacement nut, and strap buttons. The pickups have been swapped for Seymour Duncan Jazz (neck) and JB (bridge). These pickups are spliced into the original PCB connectors, preserving the ability to unplug and replace them without soldering, just like the original setup. Unfortunately, I do not have the original pickups, nut, bridge, or tuners, as these were swapped before I acquired the guitar in early 2024 from Guitar Center.

I’ve started transitioning the guitar to black plastics. The cream pickup rings have been replaced, while the toggle switch plaque has been installed under the top to adjust switch height. The cream output jack remains installed. The original cream plastics and knobs are included in the case. The guitar also comes with the original receipt for a 36-month repair plan purchased in early 2024. The remaining warranty duration will depend on the sale date.

The body is in excellent condition with minor worming on the back from belt buckles. These marks don’t penetrate the finish. Both the guitar and case are clean without any odors.

Playability:
This Les Paul is lightweight and resonant, weighing just under 8 lbs without a strap. It’s currently set up for E-standard tuning with 10-50 strings and features medium-to-low action with no buzzing or dead frets. The stock electronics work flawlessly and include push-pull volume pots for coil splitting the pickups. The control cavity photo showcases the clean and professional pickup installation.

Why I’m Selling:
I recently purchased a high-end Knaggs guitar, making this Les Paul redundant in my collection. It’s an incredible guitar with great sound and playability, but I’m letting it go to offset the cost of my new purchase.
